22nd September (Sunday)
Today I read the first 3 chapters of the book and analysed, mostly the 'littleluns' characters. I got to know more of them than reading the book for the first time. I got to know more of their personality and I could relate to them more after all the lit-circles that we did in class. This helped me develop ideas for the sequel of the Lord of The Flies that my group aimed to finish. From these I could easily predict what would happen in the story. This helped me take down more ideas and ideas for the scripts as I read through the book.

23rd September (Monday)
Today after meeting up with my group and discussing what our next step would be, I was assigned the role of finding sound-effects for the video sequel. We also noted down ideas that we had and even made a document that all five of us could access. During this time, I looked for web-sites where I could fine sound-effects from. When I went home, I tried downloading some of these sound-effects but unfortunately I couldn't.

25th September (Wednesday)
Today I read the fourth chapter of the book to deepen my knowledge of the litteluns in the book. I decided to do some research on the chapters that I have read and not down some points that I could use in developing my characters. I also used this time to finish some of my process journal and update it.

26th September (Thursday)
Today, I took the opportunity of the holiday and used it to my advantage to look for web-sites where I could download sound effects from. After searching and searching, I could conclude that I couldn't find web-sites that had even half of the sound-effects that I needed for the sequel. I decided to record the sound-effects from any web-site that I actually found the effects from and import it to my computer. The reason why I couldn't download the sound-effects was because the web-site would either not let me download it or I wouldn't be able to find the sound-effect.

27th September (Friday)
Today I finished reading chapters five to nine. Each time I noticed the presence of the little ones I noted what the author had to say about them. I even noted down the vocabulary and slang that they used. I also made sure that I would interpret whatever they interpreted in their mind and not in mine, so that I could maximise their personality. This would help me add more to the sequel through the littleluns.

28th September (Saturday)
Today, I finished all the technical work that I had planned for myself to complete. I made a new project and got ahead by making folders in which I could organise all my files. This would help me in the future to create the audio-book. I also took some time to decide on what kind of pictures, my group as a whole might want in the audio-book.

29th September (Sunday)
Today, my group tried to complete some of the parts of the script for the audio-book. We ended up finishing a proper and final introduction and conclusion with some of the dialogues in the audio-book. Through all our analysing of the characters we were able to finish most of the work on the scripts on time. However we were all not present at the time when we did the script and therefore it took longer for us to complete most of the parts because of the main characters being missing.

30th September (Monday)
Today, Mr. Glover gave us time in class to get ahead with our projects. My group took this time to try and finish the script so that we could start recording. Fortunately we only had a little part of the script to complete and therefore, since all of us were present, we were able to finish the script today. We even worked from home to finish some of the work that still remained. two of the group members worked in lunch to finish part of the script while the other two planned to finish it tomorrow. During my class time, I researched on web-sites that I could download sound-effects from, but realised that there were none.

1st October (Tuesday)
Today I reached home and recorded all the sound effects that I needed in the video. I used my phone to record the sound-effects mainly from www.youtube.com. I then transferred the sound-effects from my phone to my computer so that I could use it in school while recording the audio-book. I thought of even finishing reading the book but I soon realised that my group's script was finally complete.

2nd October (Wednesday)
Today my entire group came into school early to start and finish recording. We recored half of the script in the morning on my computer and planned to finish the script in lunch. During lunch time my group finished recording the entire script that we made for the audi-book. The last job was then left to me to edit and make the audio-book into a proper more attractive one. I then spent two hours editing the whole video, the cropping, the timing, working on the script and making sure all the recording was done. I then used all the images that I had stored on my computer and merged them with the audio recordings that my group recorded in school. I then exported the file and made sure that it was uploaded on www.vimeo.com and pasted onto the wiki.

Plan

Throughout the entire process of the english project, I plan to work as efficiently as I can and even work hard for the group. I will follow my plan so that I can be as organised as possible.

        1) Since I am assigned the role of 'the littleluns', I plan to analyse their character throughout the entire book. I shall study each chapter, especially the last few ones in order to get a full in-sight of them. I plan to learn the smaller children thoroughly so that it will become easier for me in the later stages of the project. This will also help me develop he characters further in the audio-book

        2) Since I have another role in this project, which is to find the backtracks etc. I will also have to try and find time to start researching on which soundtrack or backtrack would suit the audiobook the best. I would also have to work on the technical part of the work which is to try and find out how to convert it so that my group could use it in the audio-book.

        3) While analysing the 'littleluns' from the book, I will take down notes, which I could use to help the group to make a script. These notes can also help me develop the characters more throughout the audio book.
       4) Since my group might not include the characters of the littleluns in the audio-book, I have been assigned the role to be the technical person. However I will continue to finish reading the book and analysing the littleluns in the book as a backup if my group decides to include them in the audio-book.

Technical Part
For the technical part of the project, which I have been assigned to look after, I will have to record and do all the editing of the audio book and make sure that it is embedded on the wiki before the deadline. For this I will start planning tasks that will help me be more organised so that I do not have to rush with things.
1) Firstly I will make a project under iMovie so that I will not have to waste time making one when the time comes to record.
2) I will create a folder on my computer so that I can store any files that I use in the video. This will add to my organisation and help me make the audio book faster.
3) I will work everyday, researching and finding images that will suit the audio book so that the audience will not get bored just listening to us talk.
4) I will try and find a way to record our voices through a professional microphone instead of the built-in ones in the computer. This would improve the sound quality of our audio-book drastically.
